Review by DangHeck
PROG REVIEWER
3 stars My first inclination when I heard this band was not, "Oh, Progressive Metal!" There is a very specific technicality that is immediately apparent: talented, and in this case, well experienced, musicians playing heavy but dynamic music. The other thing, as mentioned in the artist bio, is the clear post-hardcore-backed slant to their music ("emo" is mentioned, I would say only somewhat rightly here).

This could appeal to fans of Coheed And Cambria, at times Protest The Hero (in the vocals department specifically, yet not as dramatic), The Contortionist, Periphery, but also fans of Alt Metal and Post-Hardcore (after, say, 1995). I have to admit, of all things, I'm not too drawn to Prog Metal, so this is generally not my wheelhouse.

Tracks most of note to me are the opener, "Where Are the Birds", "I Paint What I See", and "'67 Firebird".
