3 stars Yes! 5 albums at a nice price. Each of these 5 album series is an excellent way of catching up on great back catalogues of masters of prog such as Jethro Tull, Dream Theater, Eloy and now Yes. As usual the CDs are packaged in cardboard sleeves with the same artwork as the original vinyls. The packaging makes it worthwhile even if you own all the CDs. There are no booklets with these cheapie releases, no bonus tracks, its just solid music straight from the vinyl masters.

On offer here are 5 Yes treats that do not measure up to the early years but nonetheless have a lot to offer. My personal favourites from each album are as follows. From Going for the One are title track, and Awaken; from Tormato, Don't Kill the Whale; from Drama, Machine Messiah, from 90125, Owner of a Lonely Heart, Hold On, Changes, Leave It; from Big Generator, Rhythm of Love and Big Generator. Thats not a bad compilation by itself but here you have every track from those albums so theres a lot to wade through on your journey into the murky waters of Yes so called troubled years of lineup changes and detours in musical direction that only occasionally leaned back to the prog years. Despite all, the great thing is if you desire to be a Yes completionist you need only to buy this comp and then fill the gaps with the early albums that are absolutely quintessential for Yessaholics.
