Are you saving 50 Words For Snow for your last one? Tongue
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Not a bad idea! I have some albums in mind for the end to make up the 1001 albums.

The 80s are unbelievably sparse - I am only adding 90 albums from the whole decade. But after that the lists get very extensive!

Might continue tomorrow....

Yeah, for the '80's you have to really step out of what is officially prog.

So far you've got a good list going of stuff I know well and stuff I haven't heard.  I guess that means I shouldn't die for a while. Big smile

I absolutely have to listen to Marillion before I die? Are you sure it won't speed the process up? :\

You missed Presents first album, Triskaidekaphobie, every bit as essential as La Poison Qui Rend Fou, and it would help to flesh out the 80's somewhat.

Nice idea, though I think some of those late 70's albums could have been left out but your going to have enough trouble with the 90's onwards as it is.
Spending more than I should on Prog since 2005

It's great you're including Zeuhl and RIO/Avant albums for the '80s. That's where the best prog was during the early half of that decade IMO.

Missed out:
Can - Delay (1968)
White Noise - An Electric Storm (1968)

Be sure to add Brian Ellis, Astra, and Acid Mothers Temple later on dude.
Great list so far! Smile

Oops missed that - not enough interest here unfortunately to get on the list that is already jammed up.
