2 stars As much as i don't want to give a debut album a poor review, i have very little choice. Let's get one thing clear, Crimson Sky to my ears are not a Prog band, but a pop/rock band. Vocalist Holly Thody saves the day here with some fantastic dreamy and rocky vocals. The rest of the band seem competent enough, but after giving the album several spins, i cannot help but get the impression that guitarist Martin Lemon appears to only possess one solo - There is very little variation in his playing. Perhaps the band might consider adding a lead guitarist with more scope to his playing and possibly move Lemon to Rhythm guitar duties. While there are some very good moments on Misunderstood, most of it is pretty average fare.
