5 stars An album (and band) that would fall neatly between the prog and heavy metal categories. Most importantly, it should be noted that this album is an absoolute masterpiece. In my opinion one of the best LP's ever recorded. From the opening passages of the the title track to the last guitar licks on Gershatzer, this is pure joy to listen to. The album begins with a spine tingling piano intro. Could have been the greatest horror movie music never used, before bursting into a killer riff. The album continues in this vein, some tracks are hard rock, others have a slightly more commercial feel to them. All of them are played with great skill and power. Each musician stands out on his own merit with jaw dropping results. Great guitar and keyboard interplay throughout and an unbelievable drummer to back. Fans of prog, heavy metal or just rock in general will find so much in this album, by a band that deserves so much more recognision.
