ODYSSEUS

Lest is one of the lesser known progressive rock acts from France, who released only in 2011 the first album, eventhe band exists since 1995. Odysseus is the name of their first offer and I might say a pretty solid and intresting one to my ears. The music even has diffrent influences like from bands as Muse, Eloy, Marillion, Rush , Lest manage to come with a great debut. Long pieces , very well constructed, specially the guitar and keyboards are awesome on every tune. Also the vocalist Sebastien Mauve has a very good voice going hand in hand with the epic eclectic kind of prog rock, his voice sometimes is very similar with Muse vocalist Matthew Bellamy. Every tune is great, no dull moments here, like it from the first listning, Light fantastic or the title track shows that Lest needs a far better recognition, somehow they gone unnoticed worldwide and belive me the album is totaly awesome. From me easy 4 stars.
