3 stars most of this album suffers from the early 80 synth and drum boxes, some have real drums on it, those songs are good enough songs with minor prog influences in it...there are alot of crappy songs here (Surrender,Unlearning The Dividing Line, much better reason and finally killing the album with All God`s Children) BUT there are some good and decent tracks on here as well, the superb Boundaries echoes early yes music, Pressure Point is a very intresting experimental song, with lots of vocoders and brilliant drums and electric treated drum, this song is very progressive in my ears, and it shows that Jon wasnt afraid to experiment even if it was 1983 !! All In A Matter Of Time is a very upbeat song, which also echoes some yes music, and should have been released on a yes album, it sounds a bit like wakeman on synth, very uplifting song, a great pop-prog masterpiece. And The tilte track Animation is also a very good song, but should be cut after 3:45, after this the song gets Incredible DULL....

All in All If youve enjoyed Oliah Of Sunhillow, you can safely try out this one. And besides : how many good albums camw out in 83 ?? (i can only think of one, Crises by Mr Oldfield, but that one is also very uneven like this album)
