5 stars George Burns once said the secret to success in the entertainment biz was simple. In his field, comedy, for example, his advice was to start with a bang, a reat joke & make sure you end with a great joke. The middle was important, but people would tend to remember the beginning & end of a "show". On this album , Ange hit this target smack dab in the bull's eye. A Colin Maillard & Capitaine Coeur de Miel rank among Ange's best work. On this album, the organ & mellotron would subside a bit more into the backgroung, with the guitar souding out more memrable fills & lead lines & solos. And C Decamps was still not showing any sign of lack of inspiration for his lyrics. In many people's eyes, this was the end of the "classic" Ange. They would go on to make some very good albums, some mediocre ones, just as their other counterparts in the UK & Italy. But if you have any of ANge's albums & like it, this one will surely reward you.
