4 stars The UK Band Nirvana was really experimental with the song 'Rainbow Chaser'. With the phasing almost sounding like the song is in turbulence. It was used on Jimi Hendrix's 'AXIS' song in the very end. But these guys went the next step and used a full orchestra with the phasing effect. It starts with a flourish of the piano, then the orchestra is played throughout with the phasing as well. Giving the effect that this is a guy who's up in the clouds of heaven. It could be about God since he can't talk to him yet he can love him and he knows everyone. The falsetto background vocals seem to give the song some touch as well. It's one of the best Psychedelic/Progressive songs out there. Even though there's a US band named Nirvana, it would be interesting to get the remaining members of that band to perform with the UK Nirvana. Though Kurt Cobain is gone, they could still get Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic to perform on their album. I think that would sound like a great rendition of 'Rainbow Chaser'. Too bad that the UK Nirvana never got any airplay in the US. That song is very good.
