4 stars The first record of the Americans Pavlov' s Dog was an optimal debut that it conquered, in far away 1976, the numerous ones covered some of specialistic reviews of the field. In effects "Pampered Menial" it denotes one great tuning to the inside of the band, and one pregevole originalities in the drawing up of pieces. Although the disc not present complicated partiture, that that astonishes is the ability to elaborate often simple ideas, but at the same time loaded with a great introspection that is possible to already perceive to leave from the piece it begins them "Julia": one romantica ballad sung wonderfully from David Surkamp, singer and leader of the group. The disc is characterized from acoustic sound melancholic, guitars, violin, synth and breaths that alternate the scene repeatedly in order then to converge in the voice scratching hour, delicate hour of Surkamp. E' progressive ones sure less addressed alla contamination and alla composition complexity, but rather the rappresentazione della stilistica delicacy of a kind in which it is possible to divagare in creative free way. The pearl of the disc is up, without some doubt, to "Julia". Other tests of large level are then "Fast Gun" and "Theme from subway its", brani in which the important is perceived rockeggiante patrimony of the band, and "Of future ounces and kings" with incursions quite blues. Finally "Preludin", other beautifulst brano in which the print is emphasized mainly experiences them of the band.
