![]() Jerusalem is an excelent album opener that at times soars and delivers tons of emotions. it is a nice warm up for the rest of the album. Tocatta is without a doubt the greatest classical cover ELP ever did. they made it totally their own with an amazing dark tone. even the middle section is completely enthralling. This is the best synthesizer song that ELP ever did Still... You Turn Me On is another decent poppy song from vocalist Greg Lake. It doesn't nearly stand up to the brilliance of Lucky man or From the Beginning, but if you take it for what it is you can enjoy it. Benny the Bouncer is the weakest song on the album. In a quirky goofy way it is worth listening to, but the album would have been better if they had just left it out. The three part Karn Evil 9 is the true ELP epic even more so than Tarkus is. Part 1 is simply the best ElP song ever. From this came the famous single, first impression part 2. In part 2 Keith Emerson displays his amazng piano skills followed by a middle segment that is oddly reminiscent of Tocatta. Then part 3 comes in with obvious influence from pete Sinflied in the heavily sci fi based lyrics. This is required listening that every fan of prog rock should own.
