4 stars By far the best release of Bruford's solo career (pre-Earthworks, that is). You can't beat the band surrounding him - Holdsworth and Berlin are astounding players and their performances never fail to disappoint from beginning to end. Without question one of the best jazz/rock/fusion albums ever. Guitarists everywhere should bow at the altar which is Allan Holdsworth. What a shame he has never had the commercial success a true artist of his calibre deserves. Not a weak track on the album, but if you want to get straight to the point - listen to "Fainting In Coils" and I promise you'll be hooked.
