3 stars Still out on it`s own dimensional plane in the mid 1990s, funky Donald Duck vocal effects, echoes of Frank Zappa and pedal to the metal hendrixed out hard rocking guitar riffing are just some elements which characterize this schizophrenic 1995 Guru Guru blowout.

New guitarist Dieter Borshlegel definitely gives Wah Wah a harder edge than the previous Shake Well from`93 especially on the overdriven wah wahed out title track . Spacey ambiences with strange atmospheres are created sporadically throughout the disc with all kinds of cool devices such as the echo guitar effects on Wunder, Space Baby and Living in the woods and Mani Nuemeier`s creative and almost mystical drumming lurks and prowls throughout the disc like some sort of a primordial creature. A couple of ethno jazz-rock tracks Iddi Killer East & Iddi Killer West are a little on the funky side and kind of clash with some of the moods created here but veteran Guru Roland Schaeffer`sax work is killer nonetheless.

Like all Guru Guru albums this is fun, weird and adventurous and doesn`t have any commercial intent or designs and just rocks and grooves. Recommended for those who want to be a hippie again or who have never been a hippie and want to be one. Wah Wah is your starting point. Freaky tripped out album.
