CLOSE TO THE EDGE

This is the album that got me hooked. It was about half a year ago. My mom got out her old record player and popped in CTTE. The whole album is great start to finish, but what really took me away is the opening guitar of the title tracked. FREAKIN' AMAZING! Howe's seemingly chaotic sliding up and down his guitar neck backed by Squire's pounding bass notes were enough to make this guy who previously did not even know there was a band named Yes to go out and get all of there albums (besides greatest hit albums which I hate). The title track is my favorite momement, as if the opening solo is not good enough to be a song alone, the listener is treated to four more sections, I Get Up I Get Down being the best. Siberia and AYAI are masterpieces just as well, they are not as good, but one of the had to be the best, they couldn't all. The three tracks are in the perfect order with eachother as well. This is my third favorite album in the world only second to Abbey Road and the White Album. Get it, and then get Fragile, The Yes Album, and Tales.
