3 stars CUPRUM is another good band coming from Czech Republic and this first album "Musica Deposita" is also a good debut album. Cuprum's music is clearly inspired in the masters of seventies, like their countrymen of M Effekt ( but not as main influence), Deep Purple, Jethro Tull ( not only by the use of flute, but also in certain acoustic guitar passages). In resume a crossover prog wich mix hard/folk/blues and some hints of jazz. I can detach the Track 1 "Manýrista" and their sequencial solo of hammond organ/electric guitar and flute sequencial solo and a great rhythm section, the Track 2 "Opice v krému" one of most progressive tracks in the album, alternating acoustic and calm passages with more agressive hard rock melodies with a great drum work, the track 3 "Ocelot" and his "vigorous" organ arrangement. The Track 6 "Labe 02 (Frag. III)" in the final part shows a certain Pink Floyd "flavor" due the guitar and keyboard melody in vein fo Glimour's and Wright's style. Another great moment is the last Track "Exploze" with a great main theme and their almost jam session solos. My rate is 3 stars !!!
