4 stars "Earth, this concerns you. Your systems crush and your revolts assassinate: in fact, you destroy only what you do not understand. We know that you will be also destroyed. That all those which choke here, follow us. But how the hypocrite does not hope for anything! Earth! you are already nothing any more but one lapse of memory." (free translation of the booklet)

Magma plays a music of liberation. Liberation and anger.Anger with regard to the world which surrounds it, its narrow-mindedness and its fear of the unknown.

Christian Vander and the majority of the musicians of Magma come from the world of the jazz, but they refuse to be limited to this musical idiom. The music of Magma is a melting pot of Rock, Jazz and classical music. Magma does not play songs but some musical topics which are the occasion of a collective research of the beauty in all its forms. The singing is in an imaginary language (Kobaian) and have more with the chamanic incantations than with the singers of blues, jazz or of rock'n'roll.

This first double LP isn't perfect and don't pretend to be. It's just human. Full of imperfections and beauties.

Very recommended
