5 stars "Please use five star ratings very sparingly..." Yes, yes, for sure... but as a native french progfan I can't give less than 5 stars to "Au delà du délire".

To say the truth very few french rock bands created in times really good music equal to english or american greatest. If France have a strong tradition of "folk song", most musicians and singers couldn't really put together rock beats and french language : a problem of rythm, words too long, etc...

So when "Au delà du délire" was released in 1974 every french progfan thank : oh, my god!!!! It's possible!!! We can do it!!!

Ange, in the seventies, became really popular in France because of this third LP.

Lyrics are absolutely wonderful, provocative and full of humour... Music is just amazing...Under Genesis and King Crimson influence? I don't think so. Of course it's pure symphonic prog, but with a very distinctive mood.

I can't judge this one with moderation, because when I listened "Au delà du délire" for the first time, my life really changed.

So, 5 stars : a masterpiece (especially if you understand french - maybe 4 if you don't- I don't really know - Just try it...)
