3 stars Takenori Iwasaki's, a.k.a. MORA-TAU, 2014, live recording, "The Dance Of The Gods Of Star" will appeal to neo-classic music audiophiles, who can keep the required attention and patience, for slow-moving musical structures, which blend electronic sounds with string like ones in wide and almost empty environments.

Once you are in, these 3 compositions of 27+21+12 minutes respectively, may hold your attention by their glistenig songwriting and unpretentious simplicity. Simplicity as opposed to simple. Their amiable atmospheres are not condescending by being so, they are just attractive.

To set this effort, sonic wise, in a respective field in this Prog/Electronic land, Brian Eno's ambient works will kind of be a close neighbor or the latest Fripp/Eno effort, as Harold Budd's and some close relatives. In the neo-classical music world maybe Terry Riley's or Steve Reich's early or Phillip Glass' ,also early, musical idiom could be a reference.

Now, as far as the rating goes, I, who am aquiring and paying good money for recent prog-electronic efforts, will truly recommend this effort (name your price at bandcamp) if not as an essential or masterpiece release, as an enjoyable (not simple, I repeat) electronic music proposal.

***3.5 PA stars.
