A SONG FOR EUROPE... A SERENADE

I love the style of Bryan Ferry that in this album explode. "Stranded" is the first album without Eno and with Eddie Jobson and Johnny Gustafson. strange but "Stranded" isn't a Prog album. Good, however, the songs. Because Bryan Ferry is a great songwriter. The pick of the album is represented from "A Song For Europe", a great ballad in the style of Purple's "Child In Time2 but more POP. This song have a great French language part and Ferry feeling is great. When Ferry should express deep emotions is very near to Peter Hammill (in every sense) but when the music is Rock... Bryan is near to a perfect Hard Rock singer. And the songs helped this fact. Sure "Stranded" is good, not great and the listening is too pleasant. For me a 4 stars album.
