1 stars PIKE 129 - FOREVER LAKE is the 28th album released by BUCKETHEAD in 2015. It is an all instrumental album performed exclusively by BUCKETHEAD and clocks in at 32:09 and has three tracks.

The first is the title track which surprisingly sounds like the last album. Usually BH changes it up from album to album but nope. Here we get a long 7:23 mellow guitar, bass and drums however on this one there is no echo effects or nothing else really of interest. Oh no! This is sooooo boring. The one star bomb is about to be dropped. This better pick up.

Track two 'Wooden Horses' is the longest track at 17:30. This starts out mellow as well and i'm about ready to lose it. Well, it picks up and sudden breaks into rock. It is mid-tempo and has a range of varying ways to play the riff although it's basically the same. Some times it's matter-of-fact slow rock, then it can be stop / start with the chords. There are also some breaks that are kinda cool. There is a drone in the back that sustains when the music stops for brief periods. It pretty much alternates with these breaks and the slow rock segments. This one is OK because of the variations but doesn't exactly rock my reality either.

Track three 'Railroad Trail' is a ridiculously slowcore snoozer that doesn't even simmer but lasts 7:16. A very boring track that leaves me dropping the one star bomb for this nonsense.
