4 stars The Mars Volta ep Tremulant is a very big and different step from their last band At the drive in, which was a more a Alternative punk band. The took a different direction for the better and this was the start for the Volta, and a good start it was. The sound on this album is no that great and Cerdric's vocals are no that strong like in their full length albums. There are only three song on this ep and all are very well done. My favorite track is Concertina which shows off some bilingual vocals from the Volta. Another good track is Eunch Provocateur which kind of deals with the story line of De loused In the Commatorium. For an Ep this very good, a strong start for one of the most unique bands of the 21st century. But if you want to start with The Mars Volta, do not get this, start with De loused which is their best work. 4 stars for great ep
