5 stars I'm everytime is wandering, why most of the reviewers rating this album so low. I know all the album of DT very well, nevertheless tha band is my favourite, I can't still rate them to 5 stars, except Falling into Infinity, or at least Images and Words (but it's another story). All the songs represents very high niveau, and the dramaturgy of the CD is also a shot into the mid. New Millenium is a pleasently hard start, followed by You Not me, and my "godfather", the balladistic, but even hard Peruvian Skies. The song, Hollow Years is one of the nicest song of DT -beside the Metropolis song "Through Her Eyes"-, in which James LaBrie gives his best. The next two songs are preparing the fantastic, unreproducible, and unrepeatable Lines in the Sand. It's the summit of DT's career, no doubt. It's a perfect script, the song makes you lifted, then dropped, then sent to sleep, then awaken. Petrucci's guitar sounds incredible and when you believe, that there is the end, Derek Sherinian hit some accords on the keyboard, and you feel catharsis. Take away My Pain is a simple masterpiece of DT, then you can enjoy one of the best concert song of DT, Just Let Me Breath. Anna Lee is OK, and finally the song, Trial of Tears, which is almost at the level of the Lines in the Sand. Just another personal remark to this CD. Unfortunately practically it's the farewell disc of Derek Sherinian, who was the best keyboardist of the band whenever, although we can enjoy his play on the double concert album, Once in a LiveTime once again.
