4 stars OK, album is perfect, too perfect. Good for prog purists - all is here. Neo Prog sound (naive 80ties synthesizer sound too), jazzy interludes, symphonic epics, folk moments, complex genesy lyrics with humor. Starts fast and dynamic, then run out. But all is sterile, predictable, nothing new, just all in one. Only Bat Out Of Basildon have unexpected popy chorus. The Mars Volta new relise The Bedlam In Goliath - yes this is somthing new and unexpected in progmusic. THE TANGENT Not As Good As The Book overrated. It is high quality prog, but not Essential. Must have, but from me 3,5 stars.
