4 stars Great solo album by one of the masters of electronic music! Aqua was for me, from the first audition, a journey to the endless aquatic cover of the Earth. All the four tracks stands for it. Aqua is, perhaps, an anthem to the water as we know in his liquid form. Whirlpools, swirling water, waves, flowing water...all together mixed with electronic effects on early synths and splendid keyboards background. Froese succeeded in building the whole atmosphere of water sounds, maybe a little harsh from time to time, but very great. Panorphelia is very similar to Phaedra, special the Mellotron parts and the hypnotic intro. NGC 891 is very cosmic and Froese used some recorded audio parts from the window of his apartment (merely some jet-plane noises and driving buses)as an introduction to the track itself. Highly original! Christoper Franke (the second TD important member) is here a collaborator on Moog Synth and the duet worked very good. NGC 891 is, simply, pure space rock and sends you deep in the Universe. The whole atmosphere is floating and ethereal. The last track is another sample of early exploration of organs and synthesisers. Hypnotic boiling water effects and the almighty sound of organs are very strong printed in the album concept.

I see this album an escape for anyone who wants to explore, at least indirectly, the universe of water and...even looking through a telescope in the midnight for some far galaxies. Highly recommended for progressive electronic fans!!!
