FLOWER POWER

I have recently listened to all the Flower Kings' studio albums in chronological order(over several days!). In my opinion this is their best, by a short head from 'Unfold the future'. There is a remarkable consistency ( some might say sameness)over all their albums, but here they excel themselves especially with the magnificent epic 'Garden of dreams', which goes through an amazing range of styles. There is even room for a good instrumental after it! CD2 is more varied in quality, but the longer tracks stand out. This is a good introduction to the Flower Kings. I can't give any of their albums 5 stars, because of vatiation of quality but this one comes closest. Maybe 4.5 stars.
