5 stars Well. First I have to say that I have listened to very few music from this band. I can't remember other songs from this band being played in the Radio Stations of my city. But I think that "I'm Not in Love" was a Hit Single in my country, like it was in many countries. Apart from that, I don't think that this band has many fans here. But I could be wrong, of course.

The first time that I listened to a song which was somewhat related to this band was to "Neanderthal Man" recorded by a band called "Hotlegs", in 1970. That band had three of the four musicians (Kevin Godley, Lol Creme and Eric Stewart) that some time later became "10cc" with the addition of Graham Gouldman. I still remember watching to the video done for this song on TV, with me being a five years old child! A very good song which also had a very original production, like "I'm Not in Love" some years later.

In fact, "I'm Not in Love" (composed by Gouldman and Stewart) was not initially liked by some members of the band in its original form, being played originally with a Bossa-Nova beat. It was unitl they realized that they could re-arrange it to play it differently that the song sounded better. And in fact the band did a very good and very original re-arrangement for this song. It is curious, but like other Hit Single songs by other bands, "I'm Not in Love" was originally destined to be discarded and forgotten! Fortunately, they changed their minds and they made one of the best singles of the seventies that made the band become famous in many parts of the world. The very original re-arrangement of the song included the band members recording layers and layers of their own backing vocals that give to the song its "dreamy" qualities. The rest of the instrumentation for the song included a very simple bass drum beat, electric piano, bass guitar and other keyboards. And this apparently simple love song became their signature song, at least in my country. It still is played in some oldies Radio Stations in my city.

In the Side B of this single there is a song called "Good News", which is also a good song.
