5 stars A fusion between Fusion and Death Metal.

This album, released in 1994, is another milestone of the technical metal genre. Everything of this album says to you that it's a gem. The great cover, the lyrics and fortunately the music. The musicians are quite known in this genre. Sean Reinert and Paul Masvidal played on Death's Human album and Shawn Malone is famous for his Gordian Knot project.

Let's come to the music. A very interesting aspect of the music are the two singstyles. On the one hand you have a raspy, guttural singer and on the other hand there is an electric, distored singer. You really have to get attuned to both styles. The music also changes suddenly. One moment there is a really heavy riff and at once the band plays some fusion jazz in a relaxed way. The lyrics are hermetic closed and I can't really get a meaning of it but they deliver nice pictures of their philosophy.

All in all, this album is worth to be buyed.
