Composition/Creativity: 22/25 The material here is very well written. The tunes have cover a wide variety of styles and have a lot of depth. Structurally they are fairly straightforward (almost "Neo", but the arrangements and instrumentation are quite interesting and inventive.Fans of Spock's Beard can't go wrong with Ajalon.

Musicianship: 22/25 Randy George is a top notch multi-instrumentalist, and judging from this release, under-used in Neal Morse's Band.

Production/Sound: 23/25

Overall Effect: 22/25 This is one of my favorite examples of what was once known as CPR (Christian Progressive Rock). A really fine collection of tunes.

Total Score: 89

Grade: B+ / 4.5 Stars
