3 stars Another posthumous compilation (I feel like using the word "exploitation", but Tim's works have yet to sell to the point of exploitation), and yet another relativelu uninteresting disc despite its "rare and unreleased" subtitle. Actually the second part of the title should just about tell you to stay away from since it gives out the years: 68 (still quite interesting as it was G&H's year, and 73, which way too late. Had this album featured "rare and unreleased" from 69 to 72, we'd probably jump for it with out eyes closed, but in this case... well read below

The 68 tracks are obviously offering the most interest as they feature early version of tracks that will be released in his experimental years. One of the few surprises of this album is an early version of his best- known track Song To The Siren, in an unfinished state (but quite different), two years before its release. Four of the 6 early tracks will find their way in Happy Sad but in very different forms again, while Happy Time is from the BA album, and probably the least interesting g from that year's selection. Give you the verdict: nothing to stay awake for...

The 73 tracks are mostly from the Sefronia album and featuring the better tracks of that album but in a primitive state (work in progress if you prefer), with unidentified musicians , and two unreleased tracks (and unfinished as well) that don't bring much to the overall value of the material presented in this session. The only real positive point is that we don't have to suffer Randell's insufferable over-production and string arrangements. Hardly essential, even for the diehard Buckley fans, but these last ones will probably enjoy this disc, but don't expect much musical mileage out of it.
