1 stars I'll put historical (and any other) context aside, just concentrating on the music, and conclude - this is awful.

Album's epic, ''Autobahn'', smashes you right in the face with it's minimalistic, repetitive, cold, artificial, cheap and repulsive sound. 22 minutes of two obsolete melodies and some basic electronic sounds and effects. I'm I missing something here? I don't think so. Unfortunately, things don't get any better in shorter pieces. ''Kometenmelodie 1''? Incredible boredom trying to sound spacey - no comets here I'm afraid. ''Kometenmelodie 2'' shows signs of life whit it's passable melody and groove, but continues to bore. ''Mitternacht'' is getting more ''experimental'' trying to depict (mid)night feeling. Wouldn't work. I guess ''Morgenspaziergang'' should have depicted fresh morning feeling with it's pseudo-gentle sound. Another failure, I think I'll take that walk some other time.

If you want minimal electronic that bad, go and listen to some modern trance music (I'm not joking); it's much more vivid than this dud. How and why this album and this band were so influental is beyond me.

Fahren, fahren, fahren auf der Autobahn? Excuse me, I think I'm gonna be sick.
