SAMADHI

On 'Samadhi' Tatsuhiro Honmura appears with excellent guitar skills - multi-layered - to experience on the first song Akasatana with the emphasis on space rock - somewhat looping, going round in circles constantly. A simple bass line and bass drum are serving a decent groove - the background for his guitar work which is dominating the complete album by the way. Next one Perception is rich on discoveries - the song starts with an electronic touch. A spacey echo and delay dominated guitar gets in the lead soon with reminiscences to David Gilmour, Jimi Hendrix and Achim Reichel's style with A.R. Machines.

The title song Samadhi doesn't attract attention to me sounding ordinary, conservative but the following Nirvana is the ultimate epic voyage through time and space - once more provided with a simple bass drum and reminding of 'Inventions For Electric Guitar' (Manuel Göttsching).

'Samadhi' is a guitar dominated album made in the vein of veterans like Ash Ra Tempel, Achim Reichel and the early Tangerine Dream - not very diversified, more hypnotic minimalistic with looping riffs and echoes - interesting for fans who are deep in love with repetitive spacey improvisations.
