5 stars I think Pendragon may have struck Pure Gold with this much awaited album.

Once again an amazingly high quality, well produced, and musically brilliant album which has all the signs of becoming one of the classic Pendragon albums of all time.. and undoubtedy will appeal to a much wider audience as this album has something for everyone, and could definitely also find justifiable mainstream radio airplay as some of these tracks really do deserve that sort of airing.

This is a carefully crafted product with all the right ingrediants to ensure interest and listening attention span across the entire album... which doesnt have one weak track on it. All the classic emotion is displayed with the classic gilmour like soaring guitar leads matched by subtle strings but with a newer harder edge which shows Pendragon evolving their sound and style and which deserves to attract a much larger fan base.

The new drumming of Scott Higham has helped add this new harder edge, supported directed by Pete Gee's solid base playing, and newer harder grundgy chugging guitar rhythm from Nick ... but with still masses of light and shade and subtle nuiances within the harder darker feel. A return too to a higher keyboard element too, again showing Clive Nolan as a man happy to suppport a range of styles and sounds as Pendragon evolve. The production from Karl Groom places this enitre album in the very best from Pendragon catgory.

This album will really knocks your socks off... from the starting track of Indigo through to the closing emotional track It's Only Me...

Its been on the CD player and hasnt come off... and I keep discovering nuances within the album with every new listen. The accompanying CD booklet again follows the same high standards and gives the whole package a top quality feel.

If you want to hear a great modern album... dont worry if you havent ever heard of Pendragon... give it a go and surprise yourself!

Its that good... both dont just believe me... look at the other reviews!
