5 stars One of the best German bands, but always considered only as ELP clones, and so unjustly underestimated. In my opinion, Triumvirat have nothing to do with ELP, except for some keyboard scores. In any case the great Jurgen Fritz, although using various Hammond, Moog, etc.. (in those years all keyboardists used them!), has a totally different way of playing from Emerson: the latter, despite his greatness, has always looking for sensational solos, while Fritz playing is never excessive, and always integrated in the context of songs. Spartacus is a concept album (ELP have never made them!), constructed and played very well, with great melodies and great creativity. Everything is nice, cool and smooth to the listening. Remarkable also the Kollen voice, although with strong German accent. 4,7 stars
