LIVE LEGENDS - THE GREATEST HITS OF FOCUS

This is not a bad compilation of their best song. It's a pity that the title is a bit misleading because all the stuff from this album is BBC recordings over a period of 30 years. Some of it in mono. The variations in sound quality is not particular pleasing. On the other hand; all the greatest Focus songs are here. Why the lengthy piece from Eruption is called Focus Medley on this album is also a mystery.

The BBC recordings does not add anything of interest to the songs. The track collection is excellent, the four pages booklet has no information and is an insult to both the band and the fans. The sound is at times not satisfactory. This smell rip-off. But it is great to hear Hamburger Concertos again and everything is almost forgiven. Focus has an elephant full of great songs.

I would recommend this album to anyone who want to explore this band because every great Focus song is included here. Then move onto the proper studio albums.
