VIAJE POR LA CRESTA DEL MUNDO

Of the several Congreso albums that I've heard, this is among my very favorites. I love the jazz fusion of the 1981-1984 era. This is the first album from this era. Most of the songs give the listener the feel of being in the Andes or at least of being in a remote mountainous/plateau region. The music is very spacious and often has an ancient feel to it, while also being energetic and (mostly) gentle. Of all the tracks, the only somewhat weak ones are Hijo Del Diluvio and (in some sections only) La Tierra Hueca. The rest of the album is very good to outstanding. I recommend this album to any fan of high quality, serious music.
