2 stars Do not listen it with a pillow underneath your head! Even there are pretensions of being highly complex and innovating, the sleep will conquer why very fast. The predominant feeling on this album, except sleep, is strangeness. Nothing is normal, and I'm thinking about something which do not satisfy the medium level. What is YS, if not an experiment which had failed? The long introduction is pretty boring, I don't find nothing interesting in it. The passages are poor qualitative and the only good thing view YS are the keyboards. They are in contrast with everything else. Somehow I think I'm listening two different albums in the same time. Texturally the album is particularly rich, as it features Moog synthesizers, mellotrons, spinet, female voices and numerous stereo and tape effects. But all this, in fact, is the form, not the product. The jazz/rock touch is also a failure. The drums have their limited space, resulting in a limited disc. After this 38 minutes I'm bored, and even if it is a classic I could affirm that YS is overrated and a major loss of time if you're searching something real original and unique.
