5 stars In 1972 New Trolls split (they reunited in 1976 for Concerto Grosso n. 2) after making no less than 3 great prog albums, "Concerto Grosso n. 1", "Searching for a land" and "Ut". Vittorio De Scalzi formed New Trolls Atomic Sistem and Nico De Palo Ibis, two highly recommended bands. De Palo and other former New Trolls members had to make their 1st album using only their personal names (Nico, Maurizio, Frank ecc.) because of the legal struggle for the use of the old glorious NT name. And so now you know why that album had in the cover a big question mark and has always been underrated even being regarded even better than Ut. After a readers poll held by a popular rock magazine they chose to be called Ibis. This is their 2nd excellent album. On drums there is former Atomic Rooster percussionist Ric Parnell (while touring in Italy the great, unpredictable Vincent Crane left the band taking away with him all the money and instrumentation, and so Ric decided to remain in the belpaese). A great progressive work...
