AU-DELÀ DU DÉLIRE

My French friends recommended this as THE masterpiece of French prog rock. Frankly, I'm not impressed. As a curiosum it has its merits in a prog rock collection, but it is far inferior to most contemporary prog rock work from the UK, The Netherlands and Italy. Singer Eric Bibonne has considerable limitations (sample Si j'etais le messie to know what I mean) and the group's prog aspirations hardly ever come through in the instrumental sections either. It's all in all not bad, but in the end quite forgettable.
