4 stars This album is amazing! Space rock was a related genre to progressive rock in the late sixties, I think. This is a perfect fusion of Space Rock and Progressive Metal. Like Ayreon, it features many guest performers. The difference is that it doesn't have a set story. Instead, following in the footsteps of Actual Fantasy and having each song tell a mini story. While some stories on the album are original Arjen Lucassen stories, the majority of the lyrics allude to certain landmark stories in the science fiction genre, such as Star Trek, Star Wars, Dune, Alien, and more. The whole album takes you away on an amazing star powered adventure into fantasy when you listen to it, combining spacey sounding keyboards and synths with heavy guitar driven metal and lots of wonderful singers telling their science fiction stories.

Overall this album is amazing, way better than Ambeon in my opinion. It also features a second disk, which has a medley of Hawkwind as well as different versions of tracks and features a comical cover song of The Intergalactic Laxative.

Fans of Ayreon and its related projects would love this.
