4 stars The opening minutes are brilliant...... In fact, some of the finest music ever to come from the Canterbury scene. The music then turns into more familiar fusion/jazz.

I have always regarded this band as something halfway between NATIONAL HEALTH and CARAVAN. On this album, I also have to add EGG and GONG to the mix. It is obvious that HATFIELD & THE NORTH is a fusion of all these three bands and a true supergroup. Add some flute to the mix and you have this band. Plenty of good fusion here with some CARAVAN like quirky pop inbetween. Most of the music here is superb with Mumps being the best track on this album. The whole album is just a delight and a joy to behold. I cannot describe it, but I close my eyes and really enjoys it. It is difficult to write with closed eyes, though......

If the Canterbury scene should be described in one album; this is the album. If you like this album; you also like the other albums from this scene.
