This album is definitely different - a tough one to rate. I hated it on first listen, but it's grown on me. It's a throwback to mid-70's Rush, with rough, raw, straight-ahead rocking assault. Given this, the murky sound quality seems appropriate, though I'm not enamored of it. Even so, I've come to feel it's one of their best - only "Counterparts" is better in the last 20 years.
