3 stars Back in the seventies, when the Bruford/Wetton Crimson was king, if you went to a King Crimson concert, you were in for a huge treat. The band would change songs around, improvising wherever possible. This changed when the King was revived with Discipline in the eighties, where most of the intricate compositions left little room for any variation. And there lies the problem I have with this two disk set. The majority of the songs here sound, aside from the good but not great sound quality and lack of backup vocals., pretty much like the original versions.

Now that isn't to say it's a bad album. The performances are great, and you do get the two obligatory improv pieces, "Improv: Warsaw" and "The Deception of the Thrush". But for a recording of this tour, you would do much better by getting "Heavy Construction".
