3 stars three songs captured my attention: 'Dance Sister Dance (Baila Mi Hermana)', a great fusion song between Latino rhythms and Folk, 'Gitano', an acoustic latino song and 'Europa (Earth's Cry Heaven's Smile)', a great ballad, evergreen and standard for electric guitar. For the rest 'Amigos' is a normal album.

Certainly 'Amigos' is more a band album that an album by Carlos Santana's guitar and band as the first albums. In this sense 'Amigos' is an album that anticipates the 80's albums by Santana. Clearly when Santana's guitar sing 'Amigos' is magical but for the rest 'Amigos' not present moments of pure magic.

In my mind 'Amigos' plays good, for Santana's fans 'Amigos' is good. But, and I am to be clear, 'Amigos' is a normal album with one of my (and not only my) all time preferred song: 'Europa'.
