Melos
3 stars From 1975 to 1978 albuns, Soft Machine added an electric guitar to their sound. There are people who don't like this mix, anyway I think the result is beautiful. Some of the guitarrists added were Allan Holdsworth and John Etheridge, two masters of the strings. So, this album has a lot to offer: great acoustic and electric guitar playing, with long solos, great moogs from Jenkins and great violin parts, all this sounding live along beautiful melodies. The first side is stronger, almost conceptual and fast outstanding fusion. The second side is more turned to the individual solos. People who like fusion should try this.
