Music for films and exhibition is the first full lenght solo album by Peter Andersson. For
beginners, we must remind that Andersson figures as the great precursor of the forest-dark ambient
music genre. The spacious droning darkness of his respective projects (Atomine Elektrine, Raison
d'être) prefigures the rising of a particular nordic-ambient scene (Sephiroth, Beyond sensory
experience...) largely impregnated by archaic dreams, paganism and mystical aesthetism. Globally
this new release is less claustrophobic-lugubrious than the previous releases, it's more mellow but
equally wonderfull. Music for films and exhibition is an intensive cinematic and religious
experience. Inner images clearly emerge from the listen. The Tulpa parts give you the feeling of
floating sensations. Tulpa part III (The Meadow Dream) is a heartbreaking elegiac piece, a magic fly
to heaven. Some pieces contain obvious references to concrete music (Tulpa part II...) to kosmische
space age (Virtual body) and to martial percussive ambient art (The rim...). Music for films and
exhibition is the missing link between Lustmord and Brian Eno's organic electronica. A recommended
introduction to the pluri dimensional dark ambient musical universe.
