2 stars For some mysterious reason Gone to earth was BJH's breakthrough in German-speaking Europe. Of course Hymn is a great song, never mind the religious lyrics (which are not solely meant to be religious!), Poor man's moody blues gets better and better and Leper's song is another proof of Lees' ability to write rock songs. But for the rest: no real gems actually and two very banal songs: Friend of mine (poor melody, poor solo) and Taking me higher (actually taking you nowhere). I love this band, I think they are fantastic and have never been appreciated they should have, but this is one of their weakest.
