2 stars Having listened to this album a few days back, I can say without a doubt that the problem with this album lies moreso on the production than on the (admittedly middling) quality of the songs. There's quite a few moments where it sounds like the music is getting heavier, and one would think that the production would give those sections the "bite" needed to really stand out. But, instead, those "heavier" moments have the same softness as the rest of the album, and as such they don't stand out in any way...besides the instrumental break of "Subway Walls", which manages to stand out in spite of the production just by being longer than those other, briefer spurts of "heaviness" and whatnot. Honestly, I'm sure that if the band tries again, with a better production, they'll do at least somewhat better.
