3 stars Don't be fooled by the opening track on this album, the majority of this record's run time is straight Dream Theater worship to the point where had a song like "I'm Fine" and "Nemesis" come up on a playlist shuffle, I would have right away assumed these were DT tracks I must have overlooked on the second "The Astonishing" disk.

Despite the above criticism, I still regard the album favorably. The group's quirky vocalist and, at times, forward thinking keyboardist prove that Inner Void has their own unique style that they have only begun to explore. The novelty that does make its way into this album is genuinely fun and engaging. I would have liked to see more of it!

In light of this, I genuinely believe Inner Void is a group with a prog metal classic waiting somewhere up its sleeve.
