5 stars NEKTAR SOUNDS LIKE THIS!

This album is a landmark of Nektar history, pointing in the direction in which Nektar is going. The previous albums, Journey to the Centre of the Eye and A Tab in the Ocean, were mere preludes, which were not so mere, but were no match for this album. For those of you who still remember vinyl records, this album was a double-album, with all songs spanning over 4 minutes, with the average time of around 6 minutes. Each song had its own unique part, be it as drum solo, or be it bells and chimes, and it always manages to put a smile on your face, whether it is a frown, a grin, or even the notorious sad face.

Good Day is the overlooked progressive rock anthem, with a sing-along chorus and a catchy verse. This song is a massive showcase of the bands' grandiose style of playing and instrumentation.

This album is more of a blues-prog album, rather than a psychedelic album, with songs like 1- 2-3-4 and Do You Believe In Magic, which all are based on blues elements and playing styles. Roye (Albrighton) is the main man on this album, with guitar solos 'round the corner, 'round the block, and 'round everywhere, in general, not to mention his unique style of vocals, which is not really reminiscent of any one coming to mind.

Overall, Sounds Like This is THE Nektar masterpiece album, and not any other definition of an album, 5 golden stars!
