3 stars I am a bit ambivalent about this album. It has both some great tracks & some turkeys. Well, turkeys in this band's high standards. We are talking about The Beatles here....

The title track is a classic track. I also rate I Should Have Known Better, And I Love Her and Can't Buy Me Love highly. The rest is at best pretty standard or worse. The good thing about this album is that it is entirely written by Lennon/McCartney. This gives the album a coherent expression. It also gives an insight to this band and their potential. A potential they unleashed later on.

Of their earlier pre-prog period, this album is by far their best. Mostly because it was written by the two geniouses and because there are some good tracks here. But it is not prog. It is just naive pop with lyrics about love. .....But I like it !
